Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 4, 2026
ViralPost (“ViralPost”, “we”, “us”) helps you write, schedule, and publish posts to LinkedIn. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how we keep it secure, and how you can delete it. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and only for the purpose of providing the service.
Who is responsible for your data
A specific member of our team is responsible for data protection and compliance at ViralPost. If you have any question about this policy or about how your data is handled, you can reach that person directly at danielmoka@mokaie.com.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and profile image from the sign-in provider you choose (for example, Google).
- LinkedIn connection data. When you connect your LinkedIn account, LinkedIn gives us an OAuth access token (and a refresh token) on your behalf. Using these tokens, we access your basic LinkedIn profile (name, profile photo, and member ID) and the list of LinkedIn company pages you are authorized to administer, so you can choose where to publish.
- Content you create. The posts, drafts, images, schedules, and AI-generated content you produce in ViralPost are stored so we can schedule and publish them for you.
- Billing information. Payments are processed by our payment provider. We store your subscription status and plan, but we do not store your full card details on our servers.
- Usage data. We collect basic, privacy-friendly analytics (such as page views) to understand how the product is used and to improve it.
How we use your data
We use the data above only to provide and improve the service:
- To publish and schedule the posts you create to your selected LinkedIn personal feed or company pages.
- To display your connected accounts, profile, and post history inside the app.
- To generate and humanize content with AI when you ask us to.
- To manage your subscription, credits, and account.
- To keep the service secure and to provide support.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your personal data or your LinkedIn data for advertising. Your LinkedIn data is used only to operate the features you have asked us to perform on your behalf.
LinkedIn data and the LinkedIn API
ViralPost uses LinkedIn’s official API under LinkedIn’s Platform terms. We only request the permissions needed to publish on your behalf and to show you which accounts and company pages you can post to. We never post anything without your explicit action, and we never share your LinkedIn data with third parties for their own purposes. Your LinkedIn access tokens are stored securely and are used solely to call LinkedIn on your behalf.
How we store and protect your data
Your data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database hosted with reputable cloud infrastructure providers. Access tokens and other sensitive values are kept in restricted, access-controlled storage. Data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and access to production systems is limited to authorized personnel.
Sharing and third parties
We share data only with the service providers that make ViralPost work — for example, our cloud hosting and database providers, our payment processor, our authentication provider, and the AI providers that generate content when you request it. These providers process data only on our behalf and under their own security and privacy commitments. We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
Deleting your data
You are in control of your data and can have it securely deleted:
- Disconnect LinkedIn. When you disconnect a LinkedIn account in ViralPost, we delete the stored access and refresh tokens for that connection. After that, we can no longer access your LinkedIn account.
- Delete your account. You can request full deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing danielmoka@mokaie.com. We will permanently and securely delete your personal data, posts, and connected-account credentials, except where we are legally required to retain certain records.
Data retention
We keep your data only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account or disconnect an integration, the associated data is removed as described above.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at danielmoka@mokaie.com.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
